I am a Senior Instructional Designer, passionate Teacher Educator, and Academic Researcher. I have worked in South Korea, Turkey and The United States as a professional educator since 2008. I've also presented at numerous international and domestic conferences, and have traveled to over 30 countries.

I have a B.A. in Psychology, an M.Ed. in TESOL, and recently completed my Ed.D. Instructional Technology and Leadership at Duquesne University in Pennsylvania. My Doctoral Capstone focused on the efficacy of multimedia design principles in digitally enhanced learning content for English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners. I have also published works in scientific journals that investiagte digital pedagogies, Teacher Education and instructional best practices. 

I discovered my passion for designing and building learning materials, environments and experiences when I was required to build an online English teacher training program for a Unviersity in Seoul, South Korea --even though I had no experience and no interest in doing so. Needless to say, I am forever grateful for the challenge and so happy that I did! While I started my journey as a classroom teacher, it was through this experience that I discovered my hidden talents and true passion for learning systems architecture.
